  I am giving 2 stars because my 4 year old loved the fun cookie designs and saw past the ridiculous customer service. The donuts were not very good. The cookies sit uneaten 4 hours later. My husband also posted a review; we are the people who drove an hour to take our daughter named Emily, who wants to be a baker when she grows up, to Emily's Bakery. She proudly announced to the staff behind the counter that she was Emily too, only to dismissed with a 'yeah it's a common name..' My daughter is one of the most polite people I have ever known. She was not loud or grabby or running around. She believes in magical, beautiful things existing all around her. Watching this woman rip that moment from her was absolutely heartbreaking. The woman continued to act like she'd rather be scrubbing public toilets than serving customers. I simply don't understand how hard it would have been to be sweet to our cheerful preschooler. Very disappointed.

  I don't why other reviewers are complaining of the service i have only ever had good experiences here ! and i come in at least once a week! To the couple that decided that they needed to write two reviews just because their daughter wasn't the center of the universe for once seriously need to get their head out their daughter's behind, you were probably more upset about it than she was... Anyways i have been coming to Emily's for years the service is great and the food is even better! I love the dark chocolate brownies (esp the corner pieces) the Sourdough bread and the Vienna bread, pumpkin cream cheese donuts, chocolate volcanoes, cream puffs, ginger cookies, and, chocolate cake are some of my favorites! Also the girl in the deli Amanda is very funny and nice to speak to. The older lady in the bakery Jerri is also very nice to have a chat with when i come in. Overall, the people and the food keep me coming back!
